Journeyman electrician license?

Q. Journeyman electrician license?  Is the Texas statewide journeyman electrician exam an open-book test?

A.  Yes the Texas statewide journeyman electrician exam is an open book test. You are allowed to take your 2008 NEC Code book. You are allowed to have permanent tabs and highlighted areas but no writing or marks of any sort or loose leaf papers tucked in. For more info or any other questions you may have visit our website. electriciantesting.com

  7. Open book exam for Electrician License? I can’t believe there’s such kind of License exam now a day. And this Journeyman Electrician License exam is very helpful to all examiners because they can highlight areas they want on their 2008 NEC CODE Book except writing and marking on any of its leaf papers. And for those who want to be an Electrician someday, then no doubt, it is the right exam for you.

  8. I've been thinking of becoming an electrician for a while now and finally talked to an electrician about it. They worked for a company in Fort Collins, CO, http://www.chadwickelectric.com/services.html, and they gave me some pretty good advice.

  9. It is really good to see these kinds of forums where people can share their electrical knowledge. It makes me feel more confident in my abilities to make simple repairs. However, I am still leaving the big stuff to the professionals.

  10. I will have to remember this because my brother in-law is teaching me how to do electrical work. I am really excited to learn more because it is a good skill to have. I have seen a lot of electrical jobs that weren't done very well and they can be pretty hazardous.

  11. I had no idea that there was so much that went into getting an electrician license. There is just so much that they have to know and that they are tested on. I do not know first hand myself, but I have seen the criteria that they have to meet.

  12. My brother doesn't want to go to four year college, but wants a secure job. Is getting certified/classified with the IBEW something that is hard to do for an electrician without a bachelor's degree? Maybe I should head on over to the IBEW website to try to figure this all out.

  13. I don't know a lot about electricity, nor how to fix anything in my house. This was really great information to learn. My husband is an electrician, so i just let him fix everything. Besides, I bet it's really dangerous to try and fix things myself. http://www.kmacelectric.com/

  18. This is a sort of chicken and the egg sort of question. I can imagine why the McDonald's electrician policy would cause controversy. There are too many opinions about which one is right to make an actual judgement. http://www.crownelectricltd.ca/en/

  20. It must be quiet the journey to become a skilled electrician. Getting certified must take a lot of work to do and not a lot of people can do it. Those that can do it though, really know what they doing for sure.

  21. I think it's a smart idea to get a journeyman's license-ship, because then wherever you go you will be able to have a job. It's a really good option if you move around a lot. That way you know you will always have the right license to do electrical work in whatever area you are in. http://www.martinelectricinc.com
